Ajrakh sarees are one of the world’s oldest surviving textile traditions, dating back 4,000–5,000 years. Originating from the deserts and plains of Kutch and Sindh, these hand-block printed textiles are crafted on soft cotton and silk-cotton fabrics and are valued for their exceptionally precise craftsmanship.

Characterised by deep indigo, madder red, black, and earthy tones, Ajrakh sarees feature symmetrical motifs and repeating jaals created using intricately hand-carved wooden blocks. The printing process involves multiple stages of resist printing, natural dyeing, washing, and drying, resulting in remarkable depth of colour and detail. A hallmark of traditional Ajrakh is its double-sided printing, where motifs are aligned with such precision that the design appears on both sides of the fabric, making many sarees naturally reversible.

Created through a meticulous multi-stage process and shaped by generations of artisan knowledge, every Ajrakh saree carries a richness, depth, and character that can only be achieved through handcrafting.

Care: Dry clean only.
